Terms of Service

By creating an account or using jd2resumes ("the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

jd2resumes lets you store career notes and generate resumes tailored to job descriptions using AI (OpenAI). The service is provided "as-is" and we make no guarantee that the generated content is accurate, complete, or will result in a job interview, offer, or employment outcome.

Generated resumes are drafts. You are responsible for reviewing them for accuracy and for the final content you submit to any employer.

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.
• You must provide a real email address and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• One person per account. Sharing accounts is not permitted.

You agree not to:

• Misrepresent your qualifications, credentials, work history, or identity to prospective employers. The service generates drafts based on the information you provide — you are responsible for the truth of that information.
• Upload or submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes on anyone else's rights.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our prompts, models, or internal infrastructure.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, tier caps, or authentication.
• Use the service to generate content for a person other than yourself without their explicit authorization.
• Submit content belonging to your employer or others that you do not have permission to process.

We may suspend or terminate your account for any violation, without refund.

• Free tier: one (1) lifetime tailored resume generation. Unlimited notes, imports, and resume editing. No payment required.
• Pro tier: $5 USD/month recurring (₹499 INR for Indian customers). Up to 20 tailored resume generations per calendar month. Unused generations do not roll over.
• Max tier: $12 USD/month recurring (₹999 INR for Indian customers). Up to 100 tailored resume generations per calendar month, produced with our premium AI model for the highest-quality voice and polish. Unused generations do not roll over. Intended for serious job searches, career changers, and high-signal applicant pipelines.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel through the account settings or Stripe Customer Portal.
• You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro access until then.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial Pro subscription payment by emailing support@jd2resumes.com. After 7 days or on renewals, subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law.

You retain ownership of the career notes, past resumes, job descriptions, and generated resumes you create or upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely to provide the service (i.e., passing it to OpenAI to generate a tailored resume).

We do not sell your content. We do not use your content to train AI models. OpenAI's API data policy similarly does not retain your content for training.

The service uses large language models from OpenAI. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. We design our prompts to avoid inventing facts, but AI can still hallucinate, misinterpret, or mis-rank content.

Review every generated resume carefully before sending it to an employer. You are solely responsible for the content you submit to third parties, including the accuracy of every claim.

The service, including its code, design, prompts, and branding, is owned by us. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond using the service as intended.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost jobs, lost income, or missed interview opportunities.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights, including misrepresentation of credentials to an employer.

You may terminate your account at any time via account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Your local browser data remains under your control.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Mumbai, India, or by binding arbitration where permitted by law.
